Tarifa Adam
Biography:
Tarifa holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Neuroscience (Honors) and Global Health Studies from Northwestern University. Her academic journey reflects a deep passion for understanding the brain and the broader determinants of health around the world.
Professionally, she has contributed to research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and provided compassionate bedside care as a Patient Care Associate at Albany Medical Center. Tarifa also dedicated time to supporting patients and hospital operations through her volunteer service at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Tarifa offers tutoring in STEM subjects for students of all ages, blending her strong academic background with her patient and empathetic teaching style. She believes in making science accessible and engaging for all learners.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Tarifa enjoys running, reading, and exploring new restaurants. She brings a global perspective to her mentorship, speaking English, Tamil, Urdu, and Spanish—making her a welcoming presence for students from many backgrounds.
