We all know how little money is floating around these days so for over 1, 000 fans to travel to Motherwell on Friday night was an amazing effort by all. We were poor for the majority of the game and yet again the manager got the wrong starting 11. Thankfully the character and spirit shown by the team after Alan Power's red card was heartwarming and provided a fitting reward to those loyal fans. I agree with Derek McInnes that this felt like an important point and the one thing it proved is the attitude of the squad is good. Make no mistake, it papered over the cracks to a degree. However, it showed we have a squad willing to battle and if we can bring in some much-needed quality in the window we may just start climbing the table in 2023. Image source, BBC SportKilmarnock came from two goals behind to draw away to Motherwell despite being down to 10 men, but their fans - judging from this one at least - don't seem terribly impressed.

Kilmarnock have only lost one of their last six home league games (W4 D1), a 3-2 defeat by Livingston in November. Away from home, the Dons are winless in 11 midweek league outings (D5 L6). The 30-year-old made his long-awaited return against his former side Hearts last weekend in his first appearance since January. “I had that date – the first week back after the World Cup – in my mind for quite a long time so to make that target was brilliant, ” said Robinson ahead of the Ayrshire club's Friday night visit to Motherwell. “It was a really rare injury. I just rolled my foot with nobody near me. My blade got caught in the artificial surface and I did all sorts of damage to my foot, which a lot of the specialists hadn’t seen before. “The hardest bit was when I came back in the summer and did pre-season training and then I did it again. That was when I thought вЂthis could be the end’, вЂam I even going to play again? ’ It’s not nice.
"It's important we concentrate on our own performance, regardless of what team is coming and what form they are in, ” said Killie boss McInnes. "What you would say is that Aberdeen have accumulated a very talented squad. There's been a huge investment in that squad and you can see they have a lot of good players. "We just want to try and maintain a strong home-win ratio.

Kyle Lafferty and Alan Power are out due to suspension, while Jeriel Dorsett, Innes Cameron, and Calum Waters are injured. Kilmarnock's predicted lineup: Walker, Mayo, Taylor, Wright, Chrisene, Armstrong, Alston, Donnelly, Jones, Doidge, Wales. AberdeenIf you look at the stat sheet for Aberdeen, it doesn't get much stranger than that. They are third in the league, although tied on 25 points with Hearts but with a slightly better goal difference, and they are also a team that has only one draw while losing more times than they won. They have nine defeats, almost the same amount as the worst teams in the league, but yet they also have eight wins which is the third-best mark in the league.
"I had it done in lockdown before and I had a not-bad season at Livingston after that so I thought I'd give it another bash, " Robinson said. "I've had enough bad luck over the past year so hopefully it brings a bit of good luck. " Manager Steven Hammell admits Motherwell are "nowhere near" full strength with defence a particular area of concern. Bevis Mugabi, Paul McGinn (knee) and Sondre Solholm (calf) picked up injuries before the break and left-backs Jake Carroll and Nathan McGinley are long-term absentees. There is no update on striker Louis Moult, who is being assessed at his parent club Burton Albion but Rolando Aarons has recovered from his hamstring strain. Kilmarnock striker Scott Robinson hopes to continue his comeback after 11 months out with a rare foot problem and could start for Derek McInnes' side.

Free Picks for Kilmarnock vs AberdeenAberdeen is coming into this match as a better-ranked team and the favorites, but they are in a bad run of form that could be used by their under-pressure opponents. Kilmarnock to WinYes, Aberdeen will be the favorite, but only because of their ranking at the moment. They are third in the league which is strange because they have accumulated more losses than wins this season which is something you don't see often.
Kilmarnock will have a chance to earn valuable three points against a team that lost four of their last five matches. Place the bet >>Both Teams to Score – NoEven though some big goalscoring games involve these teams, this match seems destined to be a low-scoring affair. Aberdeen is trying to avoid another bad loss while the hosts will be aiming to improve their record and give themselves a slightly better chance of nearing closer to the top six, even though it doesn't seem it will work out for them at the moment.
Motherwell have earned fewer home points than any other side in the Scottish Premiership this season (4), also netting fewer goals at home than anyone else (5). Kilmarnock forward Scott Robinson is hoping to repay the club's loyalty in sticking by him through a long-term injury that he feared would cut short his career.
Even more incredible is their goal difference at 32-30. They have the third-best attack in the league, but also the third-worst defense. It doesn't get much stranger than that. They also have a massive amount of foreign players, 18 in all, from 24 total players in the squad. They will be missing their captain Anthony Stewart because of suspension. Aberdeen's predicted lineup: Roos, McCrorie, Milne, Scales, Kennedy, Barron, Ramadani, Clarkson, Coulson, Miovski, Duk. Starting lineupsStarting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off. Player to Watch: Bojan MiovskiThe North Macedonian striker has been a real discovery for Aberdeen coming from MTK Budapest this past summer.
The last two matches, both played after the World Cup break saw a lot of goals being scored. They lost at Hearts by 3-1 and then followed it with a 2-2 draw against Motherwell. There are a couple of ‘seconds' involved with the Kilmarnock team. They are the second least efficient team with 15 goals, and they also have the second-worst defense in the league with 32 conceded goals. There are only three teams that have allowed 30 or more goals, two of those are in the bottom three, Kilmarnock and Dundee United, while the other one is Aberdeen. To make matters worse for the team ahead of this crucial match, they have some absentees.
"Image source, SNSAndrew Petrie, BBC Sport ScotlandA red card for your club captain rarely becomes a tactical masterstroke, but that's exactly what happened when Power was dismissed. And maybe the midfielder had done his research. Since the 2013/14 season, Motherwell have won 15, drawn three and lost eight games against 10 men. A grim record. Hammell will be furious. He talked pre-match about turning performances into points and they threw away the victory from what seemed an unsurmountable position. McInnes might be a little happier.

You really need to stay tough and keep your mind in the right place. "The Scottish Premiership's hibernation was a perfect time for Robinson to improve fitness as he looks to kick on for the remainder of the season. “I’ve played 45 minutes of a bounce game and then came on against Hearts so I’m feeling really good, " he added. “I hope there’s more to come. I want to rediscover the form I had at Livingston and repay Kilmarnock because they’ve stood by me a lot through my injury.
